概説	ハーブの一種 [実、種子]鎮静、加温、強壮性のハーブで、石鹸に似た味とツンとするバニラ系の香りを持つ。 北米南東部の先住民は実には鎮静、強壮成分があることも知っていた。 この実を餌にしている動物は健康なことで有名であり、実や実の加工品を常食にしていた入植者に消化機能促進、体力強化、体重増加といった同様の効果が現れたものは観察されている。 これら加工品のうちのベストセラーは勃起不全用のハーブ薬である。 男性生殖器官に独特のホルモン性効果があると主張されてはいるが、その科学成分の調査はほとんどなされていない。	Summary	a herb [part used:fruits, seeds]a sedative, warming, tonic herb with a sharp vanilla smell.
